About this interval timer

Set a work period, a rest period and how many rounds. The timer counts each one down, announces the change with a tone, and keeps going until the last round is done — so you never have to look at a clock mid-set.

Common patterns

  • Tabata: 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds.
  • HIIT: 40 seconds work, 20 seconds rest, 10 rounds.
  • EMOM: 60 seconds work, no rest, as many rounds as you need.
  • Circuits: 45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest, one round per station.

What is the countdown before the first round?

A short lead-in so you can put the phone down and get into position before the first work period starts.

Can I use it away from the screen?

Yes — every change of phase plays a tone, so you can leave the device face down. Keep the tab open and the volume up.

What are sets for?

A set is a whole group of rounds. Use them when a workout repeats a block several times with a longer rest in between; leave it at one if you only need rounds.
