    About this world clock

The current time in cities around the world, side by side. Add the places you care about, put them in the order you want, and each card shows how far ahead or behind you they are.

    What it does

    • Shows local time, date and day for every city on your list.
    • Tells you the offset from your own time at a glance.
    • Add, reorder and remove cities; your list is saved in this browser.
    • Follows daylight saving changes automatically.

    What are UTC and GMT?

Greenwich Mean Time is the old standard, set at the observatory in Greenwich, London. Coordinated Universal Time replaced it and is what modern time zones are measured against. In everyday use the two are treated as the same.

Why does each country have its own time?

Time zones follow lines of longitude so that noon falls near the middle of the day wherever you are. Countries then round those lines to their borders, which keeps daylight hours lined up with working life.

What do AM and PM mean?

AM covers midnight to noon and PM covers noon to midnight. Midnight is 12:00 AM and noon is 12:00 PM, which is why the 24 hour format is clearer around those two moments.

    Does it handle daylight saving?

Yes. Each city is tracked by its time zone, so the clocks shift on the right date for that country without you changing anything.
