About this timer
This timer is already set to 24 hours. Press start, and an alarm rings when it reaches zero. Change the length any time, or pick another one below.
What it does
- Counts down up to 24 hours, to the second.
- Shows the clock time it will finish at, so you can plan around it.
- Pause and resume without losing your place, or restart from the top.
- Counts down in the tab title while you work in another tab.
- Keeps running after a reload, and remembers your sound and volume.
- Keeps the lengths you have used, so a regular timer is one tap away.
Does it keep counting in the background?
Yes. Switch tabs or minimise the window and it keeps time, then sounds when it reaches zero. Closing the tab or quitting the browser stops it.
Why can I not hear the alarm?
Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page, and pressing start counts. Check your device volume too, and pick a sound other than Silent.
Can I run several timers at once?
Open this page in another tab and set a second timer there. Each tab counts independently.
Where is a timer useful?
Cooking and baking, interval training, exams and classroom activities, focus blocks, board games, and anywhere else you want a hard stop rather than a glance at the clock.
